Political Machines

Dear Reader,

I was, sadly, unable to withstand the political machinations of the bake-off at my theological school this afternoon. Out of five contestants, my pumpkin cream cheese steamed pudding must have seemed existentially unsettling to the judging populace and did not even place within the top three. I fear that the spirit of Tally Hall inevitably gained the upper hand in this battle, with the top three winners being [3] a pineapple upside-down cake (with a gerrymandered filling), [2] an apple pizza (the special ingredient? graft), and [1] a pumpkin cheesecake (with delicious gold coins in every bite!). This now leads me to contemplate mortality whilst watching Stargate Universe and drinking Sprite Zero.

Sic transuit gloria mundi

Yours in Christ,

Br. James Dominic, OP
