Update: St. Thomas Food

Dear Readers,

Here are some pictures of those food items I made for St. Thomas’ feast yesterday:

Some toasted rye bread

Herring in curry sauce

Cake with the first part of "Thou hast written well"

And, finally, the crushed blueberry sauce.

There ya go.

And, just for good measure, a sketch of a legendary meeting between St. Dominic and St. Francis in the church of St. John Lateran.

Yours in Christ,

Br. James Dominic, OP

Do you have any more information on that beautiful image of St. Dominic meeting St. Francis — who made it, where it’s at, etc.?

I don’t know much more about the image. I found it hanging in the convent of the Dominican Sisters in Springfield, IL. It was probably drawn by one of the sisters some time ago.
