Shortly, beginning this next Tuesday, I and two other Dominican brothers will be traveling to Africa for a summer social justice experience. We will collectively spend 10 days with Catholic Relief Services in the country of Ethiopia, visiting the sites where CRS ministers and aids the people throughout the country. Then, I alone will proceed to spend the next 60 days in South Africa, with the Dominican brothers of that country. I am afraid the preparations for this trip, combined with the activity of the last week of the semester (the Order of Preachers and the Church of Christ have three wonderful new priests!), had made it hard for me to keep blogging on a regular schedule; rest sure that I will continue to update the blog whilst in either of these two places – probably more so in South Africa.
Wish me luck!
And good health; avoiding malaria and other communicable diseases would be a plus!
Yours in Christ,
Br. James Dominic, OP
