Ghostly Tales from the Middle Ages

Dear Reader,

My bathroom reader is Boccaccio’s Decameron, a book of a hundred tales told, in the novel, by a group of young men and women who are secluded in the countryside whilst the plague ravages the city of Florence. One of these tales, told in the Sixth Day of the novel, is rather appropriate to the upcoming Halloween holiday. While a bit bawdy, it is a ghost story about a wife and her exorcism prayers:
